I really thought that the terrible twos would bypass us with Carter. I am still holding on to hope! Because up until this point he has been my cuddly, loving, snuggly, complacent, obedient child.
Don’t get me wrong, he has had his “toddler” moments, but really they have been few and far between in theĀ 23 months of his life
Until this week. My sweet, cuddly obedient child has screamed “NO” one too many times, has thrown himself down on the kitchen floor in protest with arms and legs a swingin’ (and yes I am one of those moms who just will step over and ignore
hoping he will realize that will not get him what he wants), he has stomped his foot down (and then got ticked off that he hurt his foot – ha – serves him right, right?).
You get the drift. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that the majority of toddlers don’t do! But no child of mine will act like that – ha! It’s a good thing he is so darn cute and still snuggles up with me at any given moment. And after all he is my baby.
“Maaaamaaaaa, up please, snuggle”. Darn kid! That gets me EVERY time!
Hopefully I will soon (like next week) have a post that informs you all that he is over and through this stage – a mom can hope right?
I guess his shirt is fitting for this post, then….
