Okay, so yes I am like 12 hours late on this post. But trust me I am 12 hours early on getting the boys’ teachers gifts done and wanted to post how they turned out. Last year, I totally forgot to get the teacher’s gift until after dropping Evan off at school on the last day. So I am proud of myself for being early this year! HA!
A few weeks ago, I saw a pin for an easy, cute, potentially cheap DIY Teacher’s gift. Last year, in the frantic state I was in, I ran into Kroger to purchase gift cards and all they had were $30 Starbucks cards. So his teachers got pretty lucky last year. But this year there was NO WAY I could accidently forget since there are four teachers and that would get extremely pricey and we just can’t swing that this year!
When I saw this pin for a thirst quenching gift, I loved it. I LOVE my cups like this. I fill them up with my filtered water and keep them in the refrigerator. I know these are pretty popular but you could always use another one, right? I mean, as a teacher, I thought this was so cute and useful at the same time!
So here is how mine turned out! I am so excited that we actually MADE something this year to say “thank you” to Evan and Carter’s teachers!
Of course, the first pin I found didn’t have a printable flag, it was just a post showing the pic that someone else found, so I made my own and put each teacher’s name on it. But then when I went back and did a different search, I found the original post and she had posted a link to a .pdf! So if you decided to do this, it will definitely save you some time to just print the original flags. But I still like how mine turned out!
I had the boys make “thank you” cards for each teacher. And they turned out super cute. I had Evan tell me one of his favorite things about each teacher and I added that in each card.
I also added several packets of drink mix and a Starbucks Gift Card to go along with the cup theme.
And the final product:
So once again, Pinterest pulled through and I am ready for the last day of school! And it saved me money! I managed to find a great deal on the cups and even with the gift cards to Starbucks I didn’t break the bank! SCORE!
