My friend Deanna’s little girl turned 1 this week. She asked if I could make a cake for her party! Of course! It is the only time I get to make little girl cakes with all the frillies! She told me pink, lavender and light blue and other than that I had free reign. I decided to make Jolie’s “smash” cake a part of the actual cake. So the top tier is her cake made with butter cream (so that it is easier to eat for her) that she gets to eat all by herself and the other 2 tiers are for her guests (all fondant).

Cortney! It is amazing! What brand fondant do you use?
I make my own out of marshmallow so it tastes better. Here is the recipe I use http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm . I really don’t like making my own since it would be easier to buy but it tastes sooooo much better!
This cake is beautiful! The last fondant cake that I made had less than tasty fondant (bought). I will try the recipe that you posted! Thanks!
Dear Cortney,
my birthday is may 3rd.

I love that you put a cake that Jolie will be able to dive into on top. What an inspiration!
Seriously gorgeous! You’re so talented (and patient)!
So cute!!!
