Mario Madness

I promise you that my boys DO NOT play video games all. the. time!! But most people I explain that too don’t really believe me, I don’t think. I allow Evan to play maybe once a week – unless he is sick or having friends over *cough, Jenny’s kid, cough*

Why do they think this?

Because Evan talks Mario ALL. THE. TIME (that is when he isn’t talking poop)! None stop! To anyone who will listen! He even includes the theme music and will act out multiple roles!

So when Evan was asked what he wanted to be for Halloween, it took him all of a millisecond to answer.

But he actually wanted to be the Green Toad. Since there wasn’t a green toad available, he compromised on being Luigi, his second choice, until AFTER Jenny and I ordered the costumes when he realized Joshua was going to be Yoshi.

But after the idea set in a few days, he is now content with being Luigi again. I did have to promise him he could be Yoshi next year – so keep that costume Jenny!

I have to admit, I am pleased with the outcome. Carter is Mario – the shorter of the two brothers and Evan is Luigi! Perfect. And although it is a month before the Halloween posts pop up of all the darling kids, I couldn’t resist!!! We are keeping the mustaches in tact until Halloween, so I have hidden them ;-) !

BUT…

I am hoping the costumes make it to October. Evan and Carter have insisted on wearing them continuously since we brought them home. These are the best $40 I have spent in a long time!

Very cute. I think it comes with the name. My Evan loves mario brothers. I mean I am so tired of playing it with him. He has it on the old school NES now on the wii, ds and on the PC. I could scream some days. (Mainly the winter) But at least it is a cute game that isn’t about guns and blowing up people right?
I saw those costumes the other day at Toys R US. I almost bought him one but I knew if he knew I had it it wouldn’t make it till OCT. Good luck.

Those look awesome! Joshua and Sophie are enjoying Yoshi and Toad as well. Sophie’s Toad hat is SO heavy though! We are going to have to cut out some of the stuffing so that it will stay on her head! I will definitely hang on to Yoshi for ya. :) FOR A PRICE!! j/k
