This week I got to make a cake for Brooklynn’s 3rd birthday party. She requested a Dachshund cake. Planning the cake was a little challenging for me because in my mind the cake needed to be as “girly” as possible but still incorporate a brown dog. So Beth was gracious enough to make a quick topper for me before she went home to Florida and we decided to do a Brown-Pink-Cream-Silver theme. Here is the end result:
That is GORGEOUS! I’m so glad you posted it.
You rock. What a cute cake. You truly have a talent.
Seriously Impressive!!!!!
Cort that cake is amazing. You are so talented. I had no idea the scope of your cake making skills!
I didn’t know the scope of my “cake making skills” either…still learning though!! There is a huge learning curve and I am still on the bottom working myself up
!!
She totally loved it Cortney! Thank you so much for all your hard work. Everyone at the party was in awe, and it tasted great too! People are asking about you!
Yay! I am glad B loved it! Totally worth it! And I am glad it tasted good! That’s one bad thing about this “business”, you can’t taste the end result. You just have to cross your fingers and hope you didn’t forget an ingredient.
!!
It was super-tasty! And so beautiful! Your pictures are awesome but they STILL don’t do it justice!! The colors, the quilting on the pillow, the SILVER TASSLES!!! It was amazing!!! Great memory for Brooklynn and great work by you (and props to Beth for that adorable topper!! His tongue wagging was just the cutest thing!)
