I haven’t been on here much lately! There are many reasons why but to name the top two (which I think I’ve mentioned one earlier):
. Also the “c” button has decided to get flaky on me. I usually have to hit it many times before it actually types it out. Which is really fun too since my name starts with a “c” so almost every password/username/pin etc has a c in it somewhere.But today I wanted to show off my craftiness! If I wasn’t obsessed with Pinterest before painting the living room walls, I sure am now. If you follow me, you may have noticed that I have a little problem pinning DIY home projects lately. I have gotten way to crafty which has taken up A LOT of my time.
Once we had the colors picked out for the living room, I had this combination of pins pop into my head. I had pinned this idea months ago before starting on this crazy DIY journey, but never knew if I would be able to incorporate it into our space.

Jeremy and I found curtains at Ikea that we both agreed on:
MALIN TRÅD
And if you know us as a couple, you know that we rarely agree on anything for the home! Stupid artist! And I loved that these had multiple colors that we could make the space a little funky and eclectic. I am really trying to step out of my comfort zone with color and the fact that I LOVE my symmetry!
So Carter and I headed to the local thrift stores to find some picture frames. Jeremy and I decided instead of a monogram, we would spell a word and take up an empty wall above our piano. I found four frames that I liked. Totaling $5! I then headed to Home Depot and purchased spray paint. I was happy that H.D. had 3 of the colors that I needed. The paint cost about $10 total. I had to then run to Michaels and get some acrylic paint for the last frame. One bottle cost me a whopping $.50! I found a bucket of buttons at Walmart (don’t remember what I paid but it was no more than $5). And lastly Hobby Lobby had fabric that I thought would be fun to use, for about $1.50 after coupon.
I REALLY, REALLY am in love with the pins that I see using knobs to hang picture frames. But after looking and looking and looking I couldn’t fine any knobs so I had to decided to just hang them normally 
.
I headed home and started the project:
After the frames were dried, I took that glass and wrapped it in a piece of the fabric and hot glued it to the back. Then Jeremy picked out which font he wanted me to use, he kinda is slightly obsessed with typography so I wasn’t going to fight him on that. I traced each letter on a different frame and hot glued the buttons on.
Tada! The finished product! I think it turned out super cute and adds some much needed color to our room!
Oh but it gets better. On a trip to Hobby Lobby – literally my 4th trip in four days – I stumbled upon an isle that when I turned into it the clouds opened, the sun shined bright and the angels sang. A WHOLE isle of knobs! All different colors and shapes and the kind that actually can be screwed into your wall! It was glorious! So I scooped up 4 glass, antiquey looking mismatching ones!
And I finally got to do the knob-ribbon look that I wanted to originally do! So here is the final product:
