A Budding Hockey Player? Maybe!

Remember last week, I posted how Evan’s first Ice Skating class went? Well the second didn’t go any better. So on Saturday Jeremy we drew straws volunteered to take Evan to the free skate to practice. I knew if Evan just got out on the ice with Jeremy and saw his daddy skating, it would do the trick. And of course, I was right, like always ! Today, Evan got right out on the ice and took off! He was so excited to show his teacher what he could do! She was impressed and probably super relieved that she wouldn’t have a constantly crying kid on her leg.the.whole.class.period!

Of course once he showed the teachers he mastered the first skill, they wanted him to practice a new skill, and the stress level in his face was mounting. But he was able to sustain a positive attitude and not freak out! Whew {while wiping brow!}.

And the best part of it all – he came off the ice smiling and said “Mommy! I had a great time!”  I am so proud of my little man! I couldn’t even hold back the tears while I watched him. Yeah, the other moms probably thought I was crazy but that’s cool. I guess I am little bit!
