I Only Birthed Both of You, so You Better Give Me One Smile…

Today’s quest of trying to get a decent Christmas photo of the boys can be summed up with this:

After giving up on Carter, since he doesn’t understand bribery yet, I even went as low as to tell Evan, “We WILL NOT go play with the trains at the book store UNLESS you GIVE me A NICE SINCERE smile! Yeah, one of my “Mother of the Year Moments”!

Oh and the funny thing is…I didn’t really even notice that horrendously large pillow until I got home and was looking at the photos. So I guess I am semi-happy that none of them turned out too nice :-) !!

Out takes are the best. Sometimes better than the end result, lol. We used out takes in many of our cards…included w the result.

  2. LOL, I’m glad you got a good one! We have to take photos of our girls separately with their brother for the same reason!

I feel ya! One year I totally took the joy out of the Christmas picture taking. I think I was yelling for 30 minutes straight! LOL

I’m not even going to attempt Christmas photos with my five. I value my sanity too much. LOL

My kids are 20 and 16, and I can guarantee they still won’t sit still and give me a decent smile for a family portrait.

Your ‘negotiations’ seemed to have worked in the last shot. Wonderful smile.

    Too CUTE!!!

My 3 1/2 year old daughter just finally started to pose and smile for pictures. Up to this year I have told the photographers that I just want A PHOTO, as I am sure they will not get a good one :)

  18. Oh I love it! Bribery is alive and well in our household too… ;)

I still have to muster up the courage to get Princess Nagger’s Christmas pictures…guess I better get busy because it’s going to be a long process to get a smile instead of goofy faces! ;)

    Happy WW! :)
