What do you do on a Rainy Fall Day?

Stay in your jammies and bake pumpkin bread, of course!!

That is exactly what we did on Wednesday. The weather has been beautiful most of the week, and we have been busy trying to soak up as much outdoor playtime as possible. But I knew that it would be rainy on Wednesday, so I planned on staying in and getting housework done, which means that the boys get to watch as much T.V. as they want  :-) !

I bought several cans of pumpkin when it was on sale, for a “just in case I want to bake” day. I thought this would be a great day to make something pumpkin and it would break up the T.V. watching too!

I didn’t have my mom’s recipe (which I LOVE), so I got a 5 star recipe off of All Recipes.  It was good, but not as great as my mom’s. But the whole point was to let Evan do some baking and spend some time together while Carter napped, so it was well worth it. And believe me the boys LOVED it, right out of the oven with a little bit of butter spread on each slice.

Did Evan finally get over being camera shy, or did you sneak that one in??? :)

That is the ONE and ONLY pic I was able to get out of the ordeal and it had to be snuck!! Once he heard the camera take that one picture, he got down and went to hide!! Oh well!

  3. I don’t like pumpkin-y things. Is that wrong?

I don’t really like cooking with Evan :-) . I am waaay too impatient but I decided I really need to let him help me and make cooking time more fun so he wouldn’t grow up afraid of the kitchen (like most men) LOL!
